This smart-lightweight pneumatically operated cutter has been specifically designed to quickly and safely make both longitudinal and circumferential cuts in most pipe materials, particularly Ductile Iron and Steel pipe, thereby allowing a window or section to be cut from the pipe wall to gain access to a previously inserted PE pipe or any other service line. The purpose of the “window” is to allow a service connection to the PE gas pipeline.
The cutter is suitable for pipe sizes from 40mm OD with a wall thickness of up to 20mm. The standard unit will make longitudinal cuts up to 250mm (longer lengths available).
Kent Window Pipe Cutter Features

Accuracy of cut with digital depth gauge
Fast – around 30 minutes for a complete window
Cold Cutting – No sparks
Fully enclosed blade
Air supply controlled by a dead man’s handle
Small – only 140mm clearance is required around the pipe
Lightweight – easy to set up and operate

The cutter is suitable for pipe sizes from 40mm OD with a wall thickness up to 20mm. The standard unit will make longitudinal cuts 250mm long (longer lengths available on request).
Control of Cut:
Accurately controlled using the digital depth gauge attached to the cutter module – thereby avoiding possible damage to the inserted pipe.
Cutting Speed:
A window can be cut in any pipe material in approximately 30 minutes.
Pipe Clearance:
Only 140mm clearance is required when making a circumferential cut making it suitable for use in congested excavations.
