Rotary Pipe Cutter

Description
Rotary Pipe Cutters are expertly engineered to provide fast, clean, and spark-free cold cutting of large-diameter pipes in confined spaces. Ideal for steel, most stainless steel, ductile iron, and cast iron pipes, these cutters are a reliable solution for industrial, municipal, and utility applications where flame or heat-based cutting is not suitable.
Designed with precision and practicality in mind, the ECR series—including models ECR8, ECR12, ECR16, and ECR20—is built to perform in tight, restricted areas, offering an effective solution where space limitations would otherwise prevent standard cutting tools from being used.
One of the standout features of the ECR rotary pipe cutters is their compact design, requiring only 120mm of clearance around the pipe for cutting operations. This makes them ideal for use in trenches, pipe racks, or plant environments where space is limited and safety is a concern.
With the ability to handle pipe diameters up to 20 inches (600mm), the ECR models combine space efficiency with the strength and durability required to handle large-scale pipe cutting tasks.
Each cutter in the ECR series comes with a slip-on handle that not only allows the operator to rotate the cutter smoothly around the pipe but also acts as a feeder mechanism. This dual-purpose handle enables the user to tighten the cutter incrementally with every quarter turn, ensuring a precise, uniform cut throughout the process.
This manual feeding design provides excellent control, minimizes effort, and eliminates the need for external power sources—making the cutter ideal for both field and workshop use.
Because rotary pipe cutters use a cold-cutting process, they eliminate sparks and heat, making them safe for use in hazardous or flammable environments, such as chemical plants, refineries, or gas utility works. Cold cutting also protects the material integrity of the pipe by avoiding heat distortion.
